Award winning Restaurant

Inspired flavours

At MCUIRE, weโ€™re not recreating Grandmaโ€™s pot โ€” weโ€™re putting a creative spin on the bold flavours of Nigeria & Ghana. Itโ€™s familiar, but with a twist!

It is strongly recommended that you reserve a table or order in advance for faster wait times and excellent food preparation.

About Us

Experience Nigerian Inspired Cuisine & Culture

An unforgettable experience for the uninitiated!

Here at Mcuire, we take local Northwestern products and combine them with the herbs, spices, and flavour combinations you find in Nigeria/Ghana.

Chefs secrets

Truly exotic and appetizing cuisine for those special moments in life

Our food is rooted in the bold, comforting flavours of Nigerian and Ghanaian cuisine, but we add our own twist using fresh, local ingredients from Niagara. Itโ€™s what we call fusion โ€” a mix of cultures, techniques, and creativity that brings something new to the table.

While youโ€™ll still recognize the heart of each dish, the taste may be a little different from what youโ€™re used to โ€” and thatโ€™s the beauty of it. Weโ€™re not here to copy tradition, but to celebrate it in a fresh, exciting way.

We made reservations in advance. Upon arrival seated right away. Server was very attentive. Decor was very nice but small. Food came fast was fresh and hot. They need to have more tables so others can come find in. Their suya dish was orgasmic. Will definitely be back.

Mcuire is a must try when visiting Niagra Falls Canada! I had been wanting to try African cuisine for some time, being a pescatarian I had been unable to find a place that would accommodate. Well Rosemary and Donny made the visit so worth it! The Egosi with Shrimp was my favorite, I could not stop eating itโ€ฆthe spices were so good. We had the tasting dish which included the plaintain, Jollof rice, sweet bread (puff puff), fish and homemade ice cream which (Mango), I believe they change flavors of ice cream for the week. It is a lot of food so have your appetite ready!
You will leave there full, happy and feeling good!
Thanks Rosemary and Donny again for making our first time memorable, while celebrating my husband birthday. The decor was nice and cozy too!

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. If you are truly Nigerian or Ghanaian, I strongly advise against ordering here.

From the start, the service was poor. The staff was unwelcoming over the phone, our call was disconnected, and when reconnected, we were told to wait 15 minutes just to place an order. Delivery was promised within 55 minutes but ended up taking nearly 1 hour 30 minutes.

Every single dish was disappointing.
โ€ข Ordered Semo but received Banku.
โ€ข The Suya and Jollof rice both had sugar, completely inauthentic.
โ€ข The Jollof and Fried rice were also overcooked.
โ€ข The Okra soup was bland and inedible.
โ€ข The Plantain was burnt and tasted of char.
โ€ข The Efo was inedible.
โ€ข The Zobo was watered down, lacking both flavor and color.

After waiting so long, we couldnโ€™t eat the food and had to throw everything away. To make matters worse, they even took a photo of our order for their Google reviews which likely contributed to the delay.

This was hands down the worst dining experience Iโ€™ve had. If this were the last Nigerian/Ghanaian restaurant on earth, I still wouldnโ€™t return.

Do not eat here.

Update:
Owner responded: โ€œThanks for your feedback. Weโ€™re a fusion restaurant, so not everyone may enjoy the concept and thatโ€™s okay. Thanks for giving us a try. We appreciate you.โ€

Instead of taking accountability, the owner chose to deflect. This was not an issue of โ€œfusion.โ€ It was poor service, incorrect items, excessive delays, and inauthentic food (sugar in suya and jollof, wrong substitutions, burnt plantain, etc.). Nothing about that reflects Nigerian or Ghanaian cuisine, fusion or otherwise. After waiting over an hour and a half, the food was inedible and had to be thrown away.

Went with a friend, we called in to make reservations, was asked what we want, and received time that food would be ready. We arrived, and food was brought out immediately. Ordered the main course sampler. Portion size was more than enough for each person. Diverse variety of food and also complimented each other well. Desert included (don't leave too early lol enjoy the desert). Staff was diligent and attentive. It was an amazing experience and good food. It's definitely worth it. 😌

This was our first experience trying Nigerian/Ghanaian cuisine, and my son and I weren't sure what to expect. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were met with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, complete with traditional touches. The staff greeted us like family, making us feel right at home. The chef, who is both kind and passionate, reflects that warmth in her cooking. Beginning with the complimentary, refreshing hibiscus iced tea, each dish, prepared to order and infused with traditional spices, was a delightful journey through time, offering not only expertly crafted, flavorful cuisine but also an authentic connection to a rich and vibrant culture. We highly recommend MCUIRE to anyone seeking a truly unique and captivating dining experience.

Tip: It's best to call ahead and place your order, so it's ready when you arrive. Also, when they say spicy, they mean it! If you're still building your spice tolerance, it's wise to start with a milder option.

I think this has to be one of my new favourite local spots and I can't wait to go back! It was my first time trying Nigerian and Ghanaian food, so my husband and I each ordered the tasting platter meal so we could try a bunch of things and my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Everything is so amazingly well seasoned, the flavours are phenomenal! Even the rice dishes were so delicious! I also had their tea and my husband had their sorrel/hibiscus drink. The way they served the tea with cocoa and sweet cream on the side was beautiful. And their dishes are plated so beautifully as well. Prices are very reasonable also. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!
